“Making A Point!”

Statement Sculpture…Update, December 3, 2011

Here is art that I have created to “say something” about current events, the environment, or other topics. Some of this will make sense and some not, with no intent here to offend. I am, as we all are, affected by what goes on in our world and community, so here you see some visual expression of how I see things.

I work at finding a way to create art that makes a statement every day. Sometimes I am successful, sometimes not.  I have definite feelings about Monsanto and Genetically Modified seeds, foods, etc.

Here is a sculptural statement. It is “Monsanto, The Genetically Modified Goat.”

It has seven legs, and very pointy horns…all over its body.   monsanto-the_gm_goat.jpg

Here is another, the “Monsanto He-Goat.” Just managed to get a TROPHY of this one, three goat eyes and all. These are small in numbers at this time, though the population is growing. Looks cute and feels soft, but if one ever finds you in a field by yourself, it will fuck you over often! Beware. It has happened worldwide.

I see both of these sculptures in place at Monsanto Headquarters. Let me know if you would like to send them there. All you have to do is pay for the postage.

This is called, “You Blew Me Up!,” and is a collage with paper, ink, feathers, and acrylic paint.

This next one is a mixed-media construction of wood, metal, canvas, acrylic paint, a scarf, and a baby shoe, titled, “You Blew Me Up 4.”

I create heart-based art because the heartful things in life are very important. I also create crosses of one sort or another, as statements about whatever strikes you.
